Peterson Control Union charters a variety of vessels for the various industries that we serve.

Offshore Oil and Gas

For our clients with offshore operations we charter platform supply vessels, safety stand-by vessels and multi-role vessels.
We charter vessels that comply with our minimum requirements for staff, technical specifications (concerning EG Deck capacity, tank capacity, radio systems, propulsion, bow thrusters et cetera) and certification only. In addition, we factor in aspects such as fuel consumption and secondary technical capabilities when recommending particular vessels to our clients.

Auditing

Peterson Control Union conducts audits on owners (ISM) and vessel (IMCA-CMID) safety management systems. Furthermore, regular bridge team audits are conducted to verify chartered vessels’ compliance with North West European Guidelines and vessel owners procedures, and we conduct on and off hire surveys, including full tank inspections.

Deep-sea and Short-sea Chartering & Freight Brokerage

We provide chartering brokerage for both deep-sea and short-sea through our ship agency and specialised freight brokerage companies.
Freight brokerage is organised in separate entities. These companies each have specific knowledge about charter-parties, C.O.A., the relevant rider terms and conditions and the terms of the trade. But in order to ensure that no one needs to re-invent the wheel, Peterson Control Union provides its local brokerage offices with access to its international central database, so that in-house knowledge on one side of the world can be shared on the other.
