Microscopic Determination

An admixture of weed and poisonous seeds can decrease the safety level of food and feed. We quantify the amounts in which weeds and seeds are present and identify whether these are of a toxic nature. This is done by microscopic techniques. Ricinus, Datura and ergot are but a few of the poisonous seeds we can distinguish. Moreover, the identification of residues of (fish)bones in feed is also performed in our laboratories, which enables us to determine whether cattle were fed on animal meal and fish meal.
